12:45 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. - to Columbus Lodge, Sons of Italy Feast on N. Broadway in N. Massapequa. Huge turnout.

Monday, Sept. 26th
10:15 a.m. - 11:05 a.m.
- stop by Friendly Sons of St. Patrick golf outing at Cherry Valley Golf Club in Garden City. Robert McBride ran it. He's a terrific guy.

12:05 p.m. - 1:55 p.m. - to Manhattan to speak to NY Building Foundation at 80 Columbus Circle on homeland security regarding large structures and sports arenas.

2:00 p.m. - 2:05 p.m. - tape interview on W. 60th Street with Jim Hoffer (WABC-TV) on Ray Kelly and homeland security for 6pm news. (Watch here)

3:05 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. - to Morelly Center in Bethpage to speak at dedication ceremony for former Nassau County Emergency Management Commissioner Jim Callahan who died at a young age a few months ago. Jim was a great guy and an outstanding Commissioner. Command Center vehicle was named for him.

5:10 p.m. - 5:25 p.m. - MSNBC Hardball interview about Chris Christie. (Watch here)

6:15 p.m. - 8:05 p.m. - to New Hyde Park Inn to speak on homeland security at APACE dinner (NCPD, FBI, Nassau ADAs and other law enforcement members) Nice crowd. Lot of interest in the issue.

Tuesday, September 27th
10:05 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
- telephone call in district office from Somali Foreign Minister Mohamed Ibrahim who was at the U.N. for the past week. He and Omar Jamal, the 1st Secretary for the Somali mission to the U.N., told me that the Somali gov't and its Prime Minister support my hearings into Al Shabab and thanked me for holding them.

3:30 p.m. - 11:35 p.m. - to Kingston, N.Y. to be main speaker at Ulster County GOP Annual Dinner. Chairman Roger Rascoe ran the event. Very good crowd.

Wednesday, September 28th
9:45 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
- to senior center in North Massapequa. Meet and talk with senior citizens. Terrific facility.

11:00 a.m. - 11:20 a.m. - meet in district office with Coast Guard Captain Jo Vojvodich, the new sector commander for LI Sound. Extremely capable officer. Discuss response to Hurricane Irene.

6:30 p.m. - 8:15 p.m. - to Westbury Manor for retirement dinner for Det. Tom Wildegs, former head of Detectives Association. Great guy. Large crowd.

8:50 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - tape interview at home for WCBS-TV (Ch. 2) on terror arrest in Boston for 11pm news. (Watch here)

Thursday, September 29th
5:50 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
- attend fundraiser for Pete Schmitt at Milleridge Inn. Good event as always.

7:40 p.m. - 9:50 p.m. - fundraiser hosted by Mike Balboni. Terrific evening.

Friday, Sept. 30th
6:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.
- Great news. Al Awlaki killed in Yemen. Phone interview with WCBS-TV; WNBC-TV; CNN; WPIX-11; WINS; WCBS radio; WOR John Gambling. (Watch here)

Saturday, October 1st

- to FBI Long Island office for classified phone call with NCTC on Awlaki

11:30 – 12:50 p.m. – march in Long Beach Irish Day Parade. Very large and enthusiastic turnout.

1:30 – 2:05 p.m. – grand opening of 7/11 on corner of Jerusalem and Seamans Neck in Seaford

2:30 – 2:45 p.m. – tape interview at home on Awlaki with Channel 12.

7:45 – 10:30 p.m. – with Rosemary and Larry and Helen Elovich to Patchogue Theatre for Danny Aiello concert. Have good time talking with Danny in dressing room after the show. Danny is an old friend and it was a great evening.

Sunday, October 2nd
Chris Cardona away. No boxing session this morning.

8:40 – 8:54 a.m. – phone interview from home with Religion on Line (WABC radio). Discuss Awlaki killing.

12:20 – 12:30 p.m. – phone interview with Bob Grant (WNBC radio)

2:05 – 2:45 p.m. – with Rosemary to Conservative Party reception and Plattdeutsch Restaurant in Franklin Square.

3:00 – 6:30 p.m. - with Rosemary to King Umberto’s in Elmont. Christening party for daughter of friend.

Monday, October 3rd
