8:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. - to World Financial Center (10th story ledge overlooking WTC) for 9/11 interviews with Fox News, MSNBC, WNBC and NY1 - - focus on terror threat.
9:50 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. - to Fordham University cross-country 9/11 track meet at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. Invited by Brooklyn Prep classmate Tom Dewey who is Fordham Track coach to give keynote speech. Terrific event.
11:05 a.m. - 12:50 p.m. - to 5th Avenue Synagogue (5 E. 62nd Street) for 9/11 service. Receive Defender of Liberty award from Rabbi Kormaier. Very moving service. Elie Wiesel in congregation.
3:00 p.m. - 5:10 p.m. - to St. Patrick's Cathedral for FDNY memorial service. Magnificent ceremony. Firefightes carry 343 flags into Cathedral.
5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - to Kennedy's Restaurant on W. 57th for reception hosted by Jimmy Boyle in honor of his son Michael. Boston FD Pipers played. Great event.
7:00 p.m. - 9:45 p.m. - Dinner at DaNico's restaurant Little Italy (164 Mulberry St.) with Janet Napolitano and top DHS staffers in NY. Very enjoyable evening.
10:30 p.m. - 11:45 p.m. - watch final quarter of ND-Michigan game. Terrific ending. Irish lose 35-31 in final two seconds.
Sunday, September 11th
6:45 a.m. - 10:40 a.m. - to Ground Zero for 9/11 ceremony. Very well done. Talk with Mario Cuomo, Ed Koch, Andrew Cuomo, Chris Christie and hundreds of 9/11 family members. Very memorable morning.
12:45 p.m. - 1:05 p.m. - with Rosemary to Holy Rood Cemetery to visit graves of Michael Boyle and David Arce.
4:00 p.m. - 5:10 p.m. - to Lindenhurst for 9/11 Remembrance Service.
7:00 p.m. - 8:10 p.m. - 9/11 Commemoration at Seaford High School. Great turnout.
11:10 p.m. - depart JFK Airport for London. Will be meeting with British Security officials and testify in Parliament on Muslim radicalization.
