5:45 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. - fundraiser at Mill Neck home of David and Ginny Knott. Beautiful home. Good turnout, including Michael and Susan Ashner who co-hosted the event, as well as Michael Allegretti, GOP candidate for Congress in 13th C.D. and Lee Zeldin running for State Senate in 3rd S.D. in Suffolk.
Saturday, July 10th
5:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. - to Brooklyn Cyclones game in Coney Island to throw out the first pitch. Capacity crowd. Lot of noise. Reminded me of going to Dodgers' games in Ebbets Field as a kid. - And, yeah, I threw from the mound and got the ball to the plate. (see video here)
Sunday, July 11th
8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. - Boxing with Chris Cardona in Bellmore.
5:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. - to St. William's annual parish carnival in Seaford. Many people. Everyone in good spirits.
Monday, July 12th
10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. - meet in district office with Sean Schafer a 10-year-old student from Amityville who knows politics inside and out. Amazing for such a young kid.
7:05 p.m. - radio interview with Beth Foury (AP) on WTC Mosque. I support Rick Lazio’s call for an investigation.

7:40 a.m. - 7:50 a.m. - radio interview from home with John Gambling (WOR) on Obama Administration’s refusal to use the term “Islamic” terrorism; concern that Obama & Dems will try to raise taxes in “lame duck” session if GOP wins the House in November; and Gov. Christie’s leadership in New Jersey. (link)
