6:15 - 7:45 p.m. - to fund-raiser for Lee Zeldin running for NYS Senate in 3rd S.D. in Suffolk. Event was at Teller's in Islip. Good crowd. Trish Bergin, Islip Town Council Member, was the M.C. Lee gave a good speech. Local leaders and officials say there is real anger on the ground against Democrats - especially at federal and state levels.
Thursday, July 8th

2:15 p.m. - 2:20 p.m. - phone call from Coast Guard Commandant, Admiral Papp, regarding helicopter crash yesterday killing three Coast Guard personnel.
3:05 p.m. - 3:35 p.m. - meet in district office with terrorism expert Harvey Kushner. As always, very informative.
