Pete King's Thoughts & Whereabouts: 7/31 - 8/3
July 31st - Friday
3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Washington D.C. to LaGuardia Airport
On 3:00 p.m. US Air flight to LaGuardia, due to land at 4:15 p.m. Flight is delayed on runway until 7:00p.m. because of storms. Was scheduled to do WABC radio interview at 5:00 p.m. with Bob Grant who was filling in for Sean Hannity. Did interview by cell phone while standing in back of plane. Discussed President's failure to pass health care reform and how much I opposed what President said about Sgt. Crowley who was a good cop doing his job. I said Professor Gates was entirely wrong and that the issue was not race but class elitism of a Harvard Professor looking down on a police officer.
August 2nd - Sunday morning
8:35 a.m. - 8:50 a.m.
Bellmore Kickboxing Academy
After finishing workout with Chris Cardona at 8:30 a.m. did telephone interview with Religion on the Line (WABC radio). Most of discussion with Rabbi Potasnik focused on Sgt. Crowley and Professor Gates and how the President missed the "teaching" opportunity to urge people to cooperate with the police rather than mouth off.
August 3rd - Monday
11:05 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
West Babylon, NY
To Village Video studio for MSNBC interview with Carlos Watson and Toure a guest co-host from Rolling Stone. Discussed health care legislation and then Carlos and Toure decided to talk about Michael Jackson. I stood by my charge that he was a pedophile. They disagreed.
