Pete King's Thoughts & Whereabouts: 6/25

June 25th - Thursday evening 7:00 p.m.
The White House - while attending the President's annual barbeque for members of Congress and their familes, House Republican Leader John Boehner tells me that I have been appointed to the Intelligence Committee. John had mentioned the possibility of this appointement earlier in the the week but now it's official. This is a great opportunity and will give me far greater access to the most updated U.S. intelligence throughout the world, including Iran, North Korea and Islamic terrorism. I will remain Ranking Member on the Homeland Security Committee and keep my position on the Financial Services Committee.
