9:00-9:50 a.m. – Meet in Joe Lieberman’s office in Hart Building. Discuss truck security.
10:00-11:10 a.m.- Vote for authorization bill in the Intelligence Committee
12:20-2:45 p.m. – Votes on House floor
7:45- p.m. – Vote for Patriot Act
9:00 p.m. – US Air Shuttle to LaGuardia. Long delay on tarmac didn’t take off until 11:30 p.m.
Friday, May 27th
9:15 - 10:15 a.m. - to FDNY retiree breakfast at Lindencrest Diner. Good turnout.
Saturday, May 28th
5:45 - 7:05 p.m. - to L.I. Airpower Museum in Farmingdale for Memorial Day ceremony.
Sunday, May 29th
11:05 - 11:10 a.m. - live Fox News Channel interview with Jamie Colby from Village Video. Discuss possible Presidential run. (Watch here)
Monday, May 30th
9:45 - 11:15 a.m. - march in Massapequa Park Memorial Day parade. Great turnout and response.
12:15 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. - to Airpower Museum for air show of WWII planes. Terrific.
Tuesday, May 31st
8:05 - 8:10 a.m. - live WPIX-TV interview from outside office on bin Laden hearing and Presidential race. (Watch here)
Wednesday, June 1st
8:15 - 9:15 a.m. - GOP Conference in HC-5. I say I will vote against the Homeland Security Appropriations Bill because it will cut security grants by 50% at a time when the terror threat is the highest since 9/11.
9:45 - 11:15 a.m. - At White House with all GOP House members for meeting with the President on debt ceiling. Cordial meeting. No agreement. Speaker Boehner calls on President to put out his own plan and not just criticize GOP plans.
1:15 - 1:30 p.m. - vote on House floor.
1:30 - 2:00 p.m. - On House Floor for debate on Homeland Security Appropriations Bill. I speak against it.
2:30 - 3:15 p.m. - votes on House floor.
3:15 - 4:30 p.m. - House floor debate on Homeland Security bill. I again speak against it.
6:00 - 7:05 p.m. - Votes on House floor.
7:15 - 9:00 p.m. - Dinner with reporters at Dubliner.
