Pete King's Thoughts & Whereabouts: 3/7 - 3/9
Sunday, March 7, 2010
8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. - to Bellmore for boxing session with Chris Cardona.
11:05 a.m. - 11:10 a.m. - Fox News interview from West Babylon with Jamie Colby on 9/11 trial and ACLU attacking Obama administration for considering military tribunals. I urge President to resist ACLU.
3:00 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. - to Manhasset to see "The Ghost Writer" starring Pierce Brosnan. Well acted and fast moving, it is a thinly veiled attack on Tony Blair for his support of George Bush and the Iraq war, suggesting Blair was controlled by the CIA. Needless to say, I think Tony Blair is and was a truly great leader.
During the afternoon and early evening I received numerous media calls about the possible capture of Adam Gadahn the American who is now an Al Qaeda spokesman. By late evening - - after many calls back and forth to my staff in Washington - it became clear it was mistaken identity.
Monday, March 8th
9:10 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. - on Fox News again from West Babylon to discuss 9/11 trial.
10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. - meet in District Office with Army Corps of Engineers regarding projects for Long Island beaches and coastline.
11:30 a.m. - 12 noon - meet with Consul General of Philippines, Cecilia Rebong, on trade and security issues.
Tuesday, March 9th
8:10 a.m. - 8:20 a.m. - telephone interview with John Gambling regarding NYC 9/11 trial.
