9:35 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Homeland Security Committee hearing on Muslim Americans Radicalization. Large, overflow crowd. Witnesses were excellent - - thoughtful and moving. Too many Democrats yelled - - making no impact. Terrific success.
1:45 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - news conference outside 345 Cannon.
4:15 p.m. - 4:25 p.m. - live interview from Cannon rotunda with CNN.
6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. - dinner at Monocle with Rosemary and friends.

10:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. - talk with Reid Dillifant of N.Y. Observer. Discuss radicalization hearings.
11:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - votes on House floor.
1:30 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. - Delta Shuttle to LaGuardia.
1:38 p.m. - receive wonderful e-mail from Alice Hoagland, mother of Mark Bingham, hero of United Flight 93, which went down in Pennsylvania on 9/11/01. Very supportive and very moving.
7:15 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. - to Nassau GOP dinner at Crest Hollow Club. 1500 in attendance. Probably the best response I've ever received, walking through the crowd and during my speech.
9:35 p.m. - 9:45 p.m. - Rudy Giuliani on Sean Hannity (Fox News) does great job supporting my hearings.
Saturday, March 12th
Quiet day. Go to Seaford Bagel shop in morning and to Hicks Nursery with Rosemary in afternoon. Terrific response. None better. Real people much better than liberal media in understanding America.
8:30 p.m. - Nassau Police tell me a BSO officer (special ops) has been critically wounded in a shooting in Massapequa Park about three blocks from my district office. Later found out he died. Has been part of my security detail. Great guy. Horrible tragedy. R.I.P.
Sunday, March 13th
8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. - train with Chris Cardona in Bellmore.
9:30 a.m. - 9:50 a.m. - stop by crime scene. Talk with detectives on case.
11:20 a.m. - 11:25 a.m. - Fox News interview with Jamie Colby on radicalization hearing from West Babylon studio.
12:15 p.m. - 12:35 p.m. - interview at home with Geraldo Rivera for tonight. Discuss radicalization hearings.
