9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - visit West Point. Teach two hour class on Politics & Media in Social Sciences Department. Chairman of Department is Col. Mike Meese. Teacher of course is Col. Jack Jacobs (Ret.), Medal of Honor recipient and best-selling author. Very interesting dialogue. I hope cadets got as much out of it as I did. - - Also met and had lunch in mess hall with a number of cadets I had nominated.

Thursday, April 1st
2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. - meet with children with juvenile diabetes and their parents. Their organization Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) presented me with a plaque for my support of juvenile diabetes research. Very brave parents and kids. Great progress has been made but there must be more.
