To House floor for routine votes throughout the day. The real action is in the aisles and behind closed doors on the Democratic side as Nancy Pelosi desperately tries to get to 216 votes for the President's healthcare bill. They seem to be getting close but so far they are not there. The fight goes on.

Saturday, March 20th
Unusual Saturday session in Congress.

9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. - breakfast in Whip Eric Cantor's office. Discuss strategy to keep Democrats from getting to 216. Despite the Dem talk, they are still short. Lots of pressure on Dems like Bart Stupak who are opposed to the bill. So far they are holding firm against the Pelosi pressure.

11:05 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. - radio interview with Channel 12 on healthcare.

12:00 noon - 1:15 p.m. - to House floor for routine votes. Walking to and from the vote talk with many of the thousands of Americans in town from all over the country to oppose the healthcare bill.

1:20 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - GOP Conference in 345 Cannon. We are 100% united against the bill.

2:30 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. - to House floor for routine votes.

House recesses. President Obama come to Capitol Hill to rally House Dems and hold them in line.
