Thursday, December 31st
8:45 a.m. - 8:50 a.m. - read cover story in Newsday "King's War on Terror - 10 Ways He'd Change U.S. Strategy." Incredibly good story - especially for Newsday! Maybe the end of the world is coming!!

10:10 a.m. - 10:20 a.m. - telephone call from old friend Vito Fossella. Wish each other a Happy New Year. We need him back in Congress.

11:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. - tape interview with WCBS-TV's Marcia Kramer on the total systems breakdown in homeland security in Detroit terrorist bomb case.

Friday, January 1, 2010
12:00 noon - 1:45 p.m. - to Bethpage High School with Rosemary and Erin to Ed Mangano's swearing-in ceremony. Ed gave terrific speech. Overall impression was very positive. Schumer, Peter Schmitt and I were speakers as well but all the attention and emphasis was on Ed.

2:45 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. - to the Woodlands for Mangano victory reception. Everyone was in great spirits. Many positive comments on my stand on the terror attack.

Sunday, January 3rd
8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. - to Bellmore Kickboxing for training session with Chris Cardona.

10:04 a.m. - 10:10 a.m. - at Village Video for live interview with Fox News Channel on terrorist attack. I was critical of John Brennan for saying terrorist's father walking into American embassy in Nigeria was not a smoking gun.

1:30 p.m. - 2:40 p.m. - at Glen Cove City Hall for Ralph Suozzi's swearing-in. Ralph is a Democrat who is truly bi-partisan. A terrific guy and friend.

3:00 p.m. - 3:20 p.m. - phone interviews with Politico and Daily News on Brennan's appearances on morning talk shows.
