On March 7, Representative Peter King, Chairman of the House Committee of Homeland Security, will initiate hearings on what he calls "the radicalization of the American Muslim community." He claims that 80% of mosques are "controlled by radical imams", and adds that "there are too many mosques in this country."
In response, faith leaders and laity of the Islamic, Jewish and Christian traditions will gather for a Pray-In outside Representative King’s office. The purpose is to show solidarity with this country's Muslim community, to stand shoulder to shoulder in the belief that this country is founded on religious tolerance.
